Kilt manufacture takes between 7 to 8 weeks depending on availability of the fabric with the mill. We cannot ensure availability of all fabrics at all times.
If you would like to ensure availability of fabric before purchasing please contact us either by phone or email.
All kilts are produced in the "To Sett" style where the pattern or sett on the back of the kilt appears the same as it does on the front of the kilt.
We are able to offer kilts as the "To Stripe" style separately but this incurs additional charges and must be discussed with our sales team either by phone or email to ensure feasibility.
The very pinnacle of the kilt makers art, this regimental kilt is crafted from the heaviest 18oz tartan kilt fabric available. This heavyweight fabric is woven to the highest standards possible as laid down by the Ministry of Defence. The quality and thickness of this fabric make this a substantial item, one that will last you for many, many years. The traditional regimental kilt is made with the knife pleats at the rear.
Due to the unique heavyweight weave of these fabrics they are only available in a limited selection of tartans. However, these are the traditional tartans worn by the kilted regiments that serve in H.M. Armed Forces. The tartans available are: Black Watch, Cameron of Erracht, Gordon Modern, MacKenzie Modern, Stewart Hunting, Stewart Royal.
Each kilt is made to measure by our kiltmaker, in Scotland, to an extremely high standard. The kilt is made with a full 8 yards of material. Front edge has double fringe, there are two belt loops at the back. Each kilt has 3 buckles and straps for size adjustment. This kilt is pleated to the more standard sett but, if required, it can be pleated to military style of stripe by request.
Material type: 18oz weight 100% pure wool. Tartan shown is Black Watch.
As this is an item that is made to each individual customer's precise measurements it will need to be made to order.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on made to measure items, unless they are faulty as it is unlikely that we will be able to sell a made to measure item to another customer.
You can visit our measuring guide here - Measuring Guide
Ensure your measurements are accurate re-measure at least twice! If possible get a tailor or seamstress to measure you up.
To help our kilt makers please let us know what date you require your kilt for.
We have made every effort to ensure the colours on screen match the actual fabric colours as close as possible. However, we can not guarantee an exact colour match, as colours will vary depending on your screen settings and resolution.
