Description
If you would like to ensure availability of fabric before purchasing please contact us either by phone or email.
This eight yard kilt is made from a lightweight tartan fabric, this results in a much lighter kilt than the traditional heavyweight fabrics normally used and it is perfect if you are wearing your kilt in the summer or travelling to hotter climes to wear it.
All kilts are produced in the "To Sett" style where the pattern or sett on the back of the kilt appears the same as it does on the front of the kilt.
We are able to offer kilts as the "To Stripe" style separately but this incurs additional charges and must be discussed with our sales team either by phone or email to ensure feasibility.

This eight yard kilt is made from a lightweight tartan fabric, this results in a much lighter kilt than the traditional heavyweight fabrics normally used and it is perfect if you are wearing your kilt in the summer or travelling to hotter climes to wear it.
Our eight yard kilts are carefully made to measure and stitched by our expert kiltmaker. It takes many hours of intense work to take a length of fabric and create the finished kilt. As each kilt is made to every customer's own specific measurements and is hand stitched no two kilts are the same. Each one is unique and represents the finest Scottish tailoring today.
Each kilt is made to measure by a kiltmaker in Scotland of extremely high repute. The kilt is made with a full 8 yards of material. Front edge is single fringed, there are two belt loops at the back. Each kilt has 3 buckles and straps for size adjustment. This kilt is pleated to the sett but can be pleated to stripe by request.
Material type: Light (10 oz) Weight Worsted 100% Pure Wool. Tartan shown is Isle of Skye.
As this is a hand made item that is made to each individual customer's precise measurements it will need to be made to order.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on made to measure items, unless they are faulty as it is unlikely that we will be able to sell a made to measure item to another customer.
You can visit our measuring guide here - Measuring Guide
Ensure your measurements are accurate re-measure at least twice! If possible get a tailor or seamstress to measure you up.
To help our kilt makers please let us know what date you require your kilt for.
We have made every effort to ensure the colours on screen match the actual fabric colours as close as possible. However, we can not guarantee an exact colour match, as colours will vary depending on your screen settings and resolution.
