Description
Kilt manufacture takes between 7 to 8 weeks depending on availability of the fabric with the mill. We cannot ensure availability of all fabrics at all times.
If you would like to ensure availability of fabric before purchasing please contact us either by phone or email.
All kilts are produced in the "To Sett" style where the pattern or sett on the back of the kilt appears the same as it does on the front of the kilt.
We are able to offer kilts as the "To Stripe" style separately but this incurs additional charges and must be discussed with our sales team either by phone or email to ensure feasibility.
This traditional hand made medium weight eight yard kilt is made from some of the finest fabric produced in Scotland today. The weaver who produces the fabric for this kilt is the world famous Lochcarron of Scotland. Based in the Scottish Borders town of Selkirk, this company has a heritage and passion for producing the very finest woven fabrics in Scotland.
Their tartans have been in high demand from some of the worlds leading fashion designers and we are delighted to be able to offer you access to their unique range of Braeriach tartans. The Braeriach range of tartans includes 220 authentic tartans produced in a medium weight 13oz worsted wool, this range also includes selected and rare tartans that have fallen out of popular use. This lighter weight of fabric is perfect if you have to wear your kilt all day, or are wearing it in a hotter climate.
Each kilt is made to measure and hand stitched by our kiltmaker in Scotland. The kilt is made with a full 5 yards of material with two belt loops at the back. Each kilt has 2 buckles and straps for size adjustment. This kilt is pleated to the sett but can be pleated to stripe by request.
Material type: Medium (13 oz) Weight Worsted 100% Pure Wool. Tartan shown is Royal Stewart Modern.
As this is a hand made item that is made to each individual customer's precise measurements it will need to be made to order.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on made to measure items, unless they are faulty as it is unlikely that we will be able to sell a made to measure item to another customer.
You can visit our measuring guide here - Measuring Guide
Ensure your measurements are accurate re-measure at least twice! If possible get a tailor or seamstress to measure you up.
To help our kilt makers please let us know what date you require your kilt for.
We have made every effort to ensure the colours on screen match the actual fabric colours as close as possible. However, we can not guarantee an exact colour match, as colours will vary depending on your screen settings and resolution.
